Purchased new high-end FoodSaver V4440 2-in-1 and these bags. Started with 12 inch bags. We had 60% failures. I had to reseal the "factory" soldered end with every failure; Bags worked then. With big bags it was even worse. We then bought a roll of bags and made our own; 100% success rate. Based on this, we believe the problem is not with the FoodSaver.

These bags do not work like other bags from other manufacturers. They won't hold tight. I packed 10 bags of chicken and only 1 survived the seal, all others leak air immediately. All the air isn't expelled so I figured it might be my car. So I used a real tote bag and it worked great. I've used other brands with success, but this one is very flimsy and doesn't work for me. Now I have to repack the whole chicken.

Just tried using these bags to seal fresh ground beef and whole pork tenderloin and the bags are not vacuuming evenly at all. The first problem is that the opening of the packages curls, making it difficult for the vacuum sealer to properly grasp the package. We had to cut off the top 3/4 inch of the bags or more so they lay flat enough to even try to seal the bags. the packages are still not vacuumed at all. I was very frustrated with my Foodsaver V2244 because it was so difficult for me to get it to close the bag properly. At least 1 of the 3 seals should be fubard.
