The wall of the internal pipe thread is very thin and tends to crack. During installation I tried not to overtighten it and at first everything worked fine. A few weeks after installation we noticed a leak and found a crack in the pipe threads. Disappointed, now looking for a better product.

Replaced an old inlet on my 1992 Fleetwood Tioga RV that had a bad check valve (when I turned on the water pump it pumped all the water out the side of the motorhomes). Most of the work was removing the old air intake, this new one went in easily and everything I needed - EVERYTHING - was included in the kit.

Good thing it comes with sealant, tape and screws. The picture shows two mounting screw holes, but the product shipped has three. Not a big deal but I had to drill more holes in the van. The second problem is that when you connect to the city water supply and have more than one tap open, the check valve will knock and make an annoying whining noise. Looks like Valterra's quality is going down. There are many broken links in the "Contacts" section.

This was the perfect replacement for my 99 Coleman Niagara Popup Camper. The 3 screw holes matched well and this kit included everything I needed. I used a black plastic adapter to connect the internal hose to the RV. I also used screws but didn't need Teflon tape. I used it for another project and it was nice.
