City Water Connection and Gravity Phil

I was having trouble finding one of these when you listed the make model and year so I took a chance and picked one that looked like 1 that's on my 5 was wheels. It fits perfectly and works perfectly.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Older model

Leaking and manhole fragile

Listen to other reviews! The connection to the city highway leaks after the pan. Also, it is difficult to deal with the corner both inside and outside when making PITA connections. The plastic is also very cheap and the door lock is easy to bypass (useful only for keeping it locked while travelling. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a better construction. The money you spend on repairing/ spend upgrade, it's not worth the extra effort.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Compatibility

There is a city connection. bad

As others have said, city water supply is garbage. Anything over 10psi will leak significantly and get into the trailer through the fairing. I'm a plumber from scratch and had already installed brass check valves, so I just removed the connection and used a 3/4" GHT and 1/2" stud connection. The hole in the plate is .80" in diameter, allowing hoses up to 3/4" in diameter to pass through. Overall, this is a very cheap product, but it can be made to work.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Almost never

A little trouble is good for van parts and accessories

The part itself was pretty easy to install though. I'm not sure if I'm using the terminology correctly as I'm new to the whole RV experience. The inlet in this part faces upwards at an angle of about 45 degrees. This prevented me from attaching hard plastic lines to it. Since there is no real malleability in the plumbing line, trying to bend it at least a little to screw it in will put enough pressure on the attachment point for it to leak. I ended up having to remove part of the hard water…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Only available in white

This is a very good entry for your water tank if it has worked great for me.

I like Nice lockable door with spout to enter the water tank. It has a hole where you can attach a string that goes to the tank through which the air exits. All others I use to enter water. I just don't use the other one. I wouldn't recommend it for city water. But if you have a gravity powered tank, it will work perfectly. I could see it breaking if you overtighten the screws that screw it in and secure it. Although there is no food. It would be nice if they had a gasket that fits behind to…

The city water design is terrible.

I bought one of these and also a city water valve leak device on several garden hoses and it leaked out of the hardened hose behind the hinge every time. Also the plastic clip holding the city water check valve in place broke. After trying to temper the 3rd hose the metal pin end of my hose broke and I bought another one like this thinking it was my hose and the plastic holds up well and now i had 2 broken components so i couldn't find those online. Also bought a brand new water hose for the…
