Grandpa's box? This is what you are looking for.

My favorite case since 2000. It cost me $169.99 at the time and I think it's beautiful. As you can see from the picture I have a retractable disc holder but the discs seem to have shrunk. This mount did it! A NOTICE. I'm ordering one for Linux. :^)

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not trendy

Doesn't fit in 3.5 " bay

The whole point was to put the SSD in the 3.5" bay, but it's not wide enough and the holes are closed in my case small for the recording device. I crammed them in there and they work, but it wasn't as easy as it could/should have been. On the other hand, at least the screw holes on the bottom matched the SSD itself.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • old

Worked like clockwork

Although it didn't fit as expected due to my fault (I ordered the wrong product) I was able to use it to store another internal hard drive and so far so good. Easy to install and perfect for my needs. It arrived on time as described by Revain and the manufacturer, the packaging was intact and the product itself was undamaged and made from high quality materials.

Pros
  • Very impressive

Works with Dell XPS 8500

I was a bit concerned after reading other reviews. It worked great with my new 2.5" SSD in the 3.5" cradle of my Dell XPS 8500. I was able to remove HDD 1 bracket without disturbing the existing HDD 0. I screwed the adapter into the bracket and reinserted it. The SATA cable also works fine. This is great value.

Side screw holes don't fit iMac hard drive

Screws are included and will fit their holes. However, it is slightly different from standard hard drive mounting screws. The iMac mounting bracket uses a specially shaped screw to mount other SSD mounting kits that you have previously purchased. Alternatively, when replacing a hard drive in an iMac, you can use screws designed to replace the screws used in the Apple mounting bracket. The screw must be installed "inside out" to insert into the iMac mounting bracket.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Good overall, but...

It's "AMAZON'S CHOICE " so I know IT'S GOOD!

The selection was so large that I decided on the "AMAZON CHOICE" bracket set. DAS turned out really well, because the KIT is first class. I know other reviews said it was weak. It might not be up to battleship standards, but it will easily fit in any 2.5" or 3.5" drive. You see, 2.5 inch nano drives are very light and this sturdy bracket holds them easily. The chrome screws are also top notch, and the 6GB SATA III cable that comes with the bay is good enough for my money. OVERALL THIS IS A…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

He does what he has to do.

Overall it's a good product but as I bought 2 and they both had the same problem I can say that. The brackets arrived slightly damaged. Not twisted, but bent down from front to back. Not a big problem, but worth nationalizing. It installed fairly well on one of my computers, but the screw holes on the Dell I used it on were too small. Since it is designed for a standard 3.5" drive bay, it must use the standard hard drive screws used for drives of this size. I was able to put it in the drive…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Although I was able to mount my 2.5" internal solid state drive (SSD) to the bracket, the bracket did NOT fit in my desktop's 3.5" internal hard drive bay. Instead, the bracket, SSD and all "float" only partially secured in the drive bay. I aligned the side screw holes of the bracket with the screw holes of a 3.5" internal desktop hard drive. I found that the screw holes on the bracket were 1mm further apart than the screw holes on the internal 3.5" hard drive. That's why the mount doesn't fit.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
