I've been wearing these shoes for a few months now and still have to wear patches on the back of my heels otherwise I'm super uncomfortable. I NEVER wear them unless I know I'm going to be walking a lot. However, they are very classic, which I like.

Either I have really good fakes or Vans makes shoes in different countries. I used to always buy 9.5 inches, then I went up to 10. I recently bought a pair of 10 inch but they were too small. They were made in the Dominican Republic. I ordered a pair in a size 10.5 and found the sole is darker (more red) and they were made in Cambodia. Strange. In any case. Vans have vans. They break and they are like slippers. I've been wearing Authentics and Eras for ten or fifteen years.

The left shoe goes in the arch of the foot like the right one. I had to send them back but I wore them on a trip for a week. Very uncomfortable. They feel like fakes.

I bought these shoes because I needed a new pair. The size scale is very deceptive. It only shows sizes (12), then the size chart shows the equivalent of that size for WOMEN (US). However, actual shoe size is women's size, not men's size. It was a gift that was just opened so the 30 day return/exchange period has expired. Very deceptive.

I really like these shoes - they are comfortable and supportive. I use them for long landings and weightlifting and am very happy with them. I've had them for about 6 weeks now - they are great for regular use and there is no sign of abnormal wear. The fit was as expected.

Real Vans. Normal, but that's what I ordered. If you are buying these to ride and expect them to last, I do not recommend them. They are really just for everyday use. For skating I would buy thicker ones.
