These are real Vans. Normal, but that's what I ordered. If you are buying these to ride and expect them to last, I do not recommend them. They are really just for everyday use. For skating I would buy thicker ones.

The left shoe was built into the arch of the foot like the right one. I had to send them back but I wore them on a trip for a week. Very uncomfortable. They feel like fakes.

I've been wearing these shoes for a few months now and I still have to wear bandages on the back of my heels otherwise I'm totally uncomfortable. I NEVER wear them unless I know I'm going to be walking a lot. However, they are very classic, which I like.
