The listing doesn't state the size of the glass shelf and a ticket to Amazon customer service didn't give me the information. The glass shelf measures 15" x 17" and sits 1" from the wall when installed. I needed a lot less space for the cable box, so I ditched the glass shelf and just installed a wall mount. I used a cable tie to attach the box to the bracket. it looks good and i am satisfied.

basic component shelf that looks good. The glass sits very well between the 4 rubber stops and seems solid. It comes with plastic drywall inserts for postless installation, I would definitely install it on a post! I actually stuck a 1 x 2 x 12 inch board into the wall behind it to screw the bracket to. The weight pulling the shelf down is distributed 6 inches above and below the shelf (well done!). I used them with no extras (no track system, they hang on the wall separately).

This is a great shelf. Installation is easy if you have a bolt finder and it's only two screws. I didn't give it one star because the screw heads that came with it came off too easily during assembly. I had to run for new bolts to put in the wall. However, once installed, this thing looks like a rock. I have a receiver and the xBox 360 sits on it with no problems (see photo). I will buy two more for my family room. For component shelving, this shelf is hard to beat at this price point.

Great component shelf that perfectly fits 17" wide components. Very stylish, with black powder coating and tempered glass. 1/4" x 2" Phillips head screws. Even after drilling a 5/32" pilot hole, tightened screws are very difficult to drive into the stud. I rounded off the Phillips head screw and had to use an impact tool to loosen it. My advice? Replace the included Phillips head screws with some hex head screws.

This is a solid shelf and the photo does not do this product justice. I've been trying to come up with many ideas to build a shelf under my wall mounted TV in my bedroom. to run his sound through the Bose Wave System. It's big enough (but not overly so), it's VERY easy to install, and as mentioned above, it looks a lot prettier than the demo photos that came with its ad. This shelf is fairly easy to assemble (two large rack screws) and is solid enough for most purposes. I like the finish on glass. The bracket that attaches the shelf to the main post requires nuts and bolts, and the placement of the screw holes is such that the main post acts like a wrench, holding the nuts firmly in place - very handy. The glass appears to hold firmly when installed "properly" or vice versa, allowing for some personal style choices. - I almost racked my brains on the first one…
