    good card, just didn't work for what i needed (old security button with parallel port)

    For the most part it worked fine as a standard printer port interface. I needed it to interface with older technology (Perkin Elmer TGA security button on the parallel port). The driver seems to be working fine, but will automatically try to figure out what settings you need. Unfortunately, my application required very specific settings (slightly different than the usual 1st and 2nd choices) and you couldn't set those exact settings for the card. It works well with printers and scanners, but…

    Fixes missing serial port issue

    Purchase of multiple Dell crates for warehouse shipping stations. It is necessary to connect the scale through the serial port to record the weight of the package. Dell has the serial number on the motherboard including the connector but no external connector. Good luck trying to find a cable to extend this port to the back (it's not a standard serial port).
