Varathane 215371 Stick Walnut Espresso Review

Purchased to fill nail holes in one piece of Varathane Traditional Cheery Stain. It was a perfect match and the nail holes disappeared.

This product offers better protection against scratches. It was too red for me for the oak parquet floor. The stick needs to be brittle so that the putty gets into the nail hole when not heated.

I've tried 3 colors in this one so far and can't compete with Ipswitch. They're either too dark or too light, but they don't match what I need. They're easy to use, but what's the point if you can't customize the color?

We have recently replaced railings and handrails on our stairs and bought this putty to match the provincial stain we have used on both. It matched perfectly. I really need to see where the studs are hiding and even then it's hard to find. Loved this product.

I bought this product because I had some space in my kitchen cupboards that needed to be fixed. This product is very effective and easy to use. I think it went together so well because this touch up stick was made by the same brand (Varathane) that was used for the cabinets in the kitchen. Highly recommend, but I don't know if this will work with another brand's stain.
