They work great with Category 6 wire

I looked at several different capstones before settling on these. Many reviews have spoken of these glitches and I haven't found that to be the case in general. After using many of them, it seems like most of these reviews are probably from people who install them wrong and try to uninstall them. If you get the bottom part "right" first and then the top part, they work great and can be easily removed and saved.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Might work well for data but not for POE

Easy to set up. However, once I set it up and started using them, I noticed that the connection dropped intermittently. It was as if the contacts in these connectors made or broken the connections. I will only use RJ 45 connectors.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never

Too Fragile: Cat 6 Cable

These trapezoid stones are cheaper than other brands, but you will pay the price in a different way. The locking clips are very rigid and it is difficult to snap the keystones into place. My thumbs hurt after installing 24 keystones. The big problem is that even rigid clamps are brittle. Others have pointed out that you cannot remove Keystone without breaking the retaining clips. I actually broke three clips trying to *set* the capstone. Keystone appears to be working properly electrically. I…

Good keystone connectors

Decent price for these keystone pass-through connectors. This is a type of RJ-45 connector on both the front and back of the connector, making it easier to use machine-terminated CATx cables. The only difference I noticed from the previous connectors I ordered was that they have mounting tabs which are very rigid compared to many others. While this means it takes a little more force than usual to properly attach them to the plate, it also means they're much less likely to accidentally fall out.

Pros
  • Ethernet cable
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Beautiful and inexpensive!

They came in a quick release zip bag, each connector was also individually packed in a separate zip bag. Plugs are exactly as described. Although made specifically for Keystone connectors, they are extremely handy for combining multiple cables to get more clearance from two shorter cables. One reviewer noted that he felt they were too cheap to use with constantly plugging and unplugging cords. I have no experience with this type of failure anyway to say if it's a legitimate issue, but I can…

They work great when installed correctly

See other reviews of people saying they are too fragile, break during installation and hurt their fingers? I'm willing to bet they tried to install it incorrectly. So, for those of you who have never installed keystones, here are a few tips: For installation: Next to the flexible clip at the top, there is a small burr at the bottom of the connectors. If you try to insert them directly, something will break, because there are holding mechanisms at the top and bottom. Instead, you should insert…

Pros
  • Category 6 Cable
Cons
  • Price that breaks the piggy bank
