Love these cleansers. I used to have one, but it broke years ago. They were hard to find and I'm so glad I found them at Revain. They are very well done. Love them, peeled 5 pounds of potatoes in minutes. I hate new peelers, I'm always afraid of cutting what I have. I love it. Get them, you won't regret it.

Love Love Love these old school potato peelers! And I love Revain for selling them! This is the bowl I was taught. That's all my mom had in the kitchen. I bought this for my first kitchen. Now, in the advanced age of KitchenAides & Co., you won't find these old-school knives anywhere else. And I mean everywhere I looked! And then Revain offers me not 1, but 3... GREAT DEAL!

In fact, the peeler hasn't changed in over 100 years. So why bother with fancy scissors that cost more just because they're sold that way, with fancy handles and fancier blades. The bottom line is that these spartan, simple stainless steel scissors get the job done with less effort and more precision than any designer knife, and at a fraction of the cost. They are so cheap that they have to sell them in multiple packs to even make a profit. The extra knives you get make a great gift!

Some context: 1. I use the peeler almost exclusively for root vegetables (don't want the peel in the puree/roast, otherwise raw vegetable/fruit peel is good - why peel the cucumber). ?). 2. I was hoping to find a good peeler at a great price. Well, not this time. I cleared out one of the three vegetable peelers and attempted to peel some Kirby cucumbers. Although part of the blade seemed sharp enough, the knife kept slipping off the cucumber skin. and it's not a waxed pickle. When I tried to cut in with the paring knife it didn't get any better, just digging up more "meat" and was very difficult to manage. I'll try again with carrots or potatoes but I don't have much hope. I think

I started out with these simple knives then eventually switched to these thick handle ones and really didn't like their bulkiness and also on condition I don't pill anything worth a small army , it's really overkill to have a handle other than this one for this simple tool. I love space, space is my friend and I don't have much of it in my kitchen. So when I find a tool that saves me some space, it immediately becomes a huge plus.
