The Ultimate Venum Challenger Mouthguard: Unbeatable Protection for Every Fighter Review

Really disappointing product. I've worn this twice for basic muay thai sparring and found myself with a mouthful of broken blue plastic crumbs where the top layer was falling apart. I have many other Venom devices that are of a high standard and I really like them, but this was a huge disappointment and a waste of money.

The thing is rock solid. In fact, I don't use it for combat, but for training. I tend to bite so hard that I broke a few teeth so I decided to give it a try. After modeling it, I was just blown away by how well it fit in my mouth. Comfortable too. The extra rubber on the outside has given me something to really dig into that I know isn't intended, but I'm just blown away by its fit and quality. Can't recommend enough.

Good mouthpiece. The inside (orange) is a bit soft and I managed to soak it up on my palate when trying it on, but it cut off with no problem. I've used it throughout rugby season and it stays on without me gritting my teeth. Communication with it isn't phenomenal, but still better than many other mouthpieces I've used. Note. If you leave it in the bag and send it to the laundry, it will need to be readjusted. So don't be forgetful like me.

Used this product for about three months BJJ. I train about 4-6 times a week. I liked this mouthpiece because it's small, but it turned out that while sparring, a small piece of the mouthguard came loose and got stuck in my throat. I didn't realize it until I got a sore throat and removed the rubber piece from my mouth. Reading other reviews it seems that these essays fall apart with use. I've used this mouthguard longer than any other I've bought. I had to trim off some excess material (blue gel part) after shaping, but the fit is amazing. I can wear it comfortably while sparring and can even talk to my students to give them a little practice. The language is not perfect, but better than most kappas. Good: They fit great. The customization process is easy to follow. Easily hand washable. With Thai workouts I started wearing both upper and lower. When wearing, pieces of the upper broke off in my mouth. Difficulty speaking while using it (typical mouthguard as far as I can tell.) I've bought a lot of mouth guards over the years and I can promise you it looks like a joke. The guard itself is quite small but the main problem came from the cooking. After leaving it in boiling water (no fire) for a minute and a half, when pulled out, the molding material broke off the protective walls and pooled on the bottom, the boil barely rolled over.
