So far I've been completely satisfied with the quality of Verbatim

Because it's more convenient for us to watch my home video edits on a TV than on a computer, these discs have eliminated the need for non-rewritable Giving up discs when my wife wants me to re-edit the film. I had no problem erasing and overwriting these discs many times. So far I am completely satisfied with the quality of Verbatim.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

90 minutes to burn 25GB.

Approximately 90 minutes to burn a disc. I use Linux, so those burning BD-RE discs need to follow a few steps, format the disc first, and then to burn files larger than 2GB, use the UDF file system. Also, leave at least 256MB of free space for the spare area. So far the drives are holding up well, they will be updated in a year or more when I verify the integrity of the stored data.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Verbatim Five-Pack BD-RE "NO COST "

I decided to buy five packs, which is much cheaper (per disc) than buying one disc. Really put turned out to be much more expensive because only one of the five discs was recorded normally. I even tried formatting and re-burning the drive a couple of times with the same unsatisfactory result. I went and bought a Memorex CD which was great. I will NEVER buy this product again. I decided to get a new Sony BD player (good buy) and kept a Verbatim disc that didn't play properly on the old Panasonic

Pros
  • So far satisfied
Cons
  • Will write later
