Saved the day my son's bike fell over.

Saved the day when my son's off-road bike tipped over while riding cross country and the tank burst. We flipped it the other side to stop the gas leaking, let it dry a bit, then performed surgery on that set right on the trail. It worked. We quickly started his motorcycle. Makes a big black repair. Not cute, but who cares? It's functional and appears to be as solid as the tank wall itself. Most likely it won't even replace the tank.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Damaged

DO NOT stick to polyethylene tanks!

When I viewed this item on Revain.com, the seller never showed a photo of the back of this item. It wasn't until I got my hands on the product that I looked at the back and read the fine print "Won't stick to plastic containers or tanks". This means this product is completely useless when trying to patch a micro tear in a 20 gallon plastic tank on my 1994 Ford Ranger XLT pickup. If you want to fix something made out of polyethylene, DO NOT buy it. Product!

Not for polyethylene or polypropylene

I bought this to patch a hole in my polyethylene gas tank on my blower backpack that was gnawed by a squirrel eating its way into my shed. Nowhere on the packaging did it say "not for polyethylene or polypropylene". It wasn't until I opened the package that I saw the "can't do it" label on these types of plastic. To add insult to injury, when I tried anyway, the mixed epoxy in the bag got so hot I couldn't hold it and then hardened. All of this happened within 2 minutes of mixing. I didn't get…

Easy to use and saved me $400

My mechanic told me I had a radiator leak and it would cost $400 to fix - replace with a new one. I asked about some type of epoxy and he told me in no uncertain terms that the plastic coating on the heatsink has a limited lifespan and will soon fall apart. Well I did some testing myself and came across this repair kit. I had a minimal leak - you could see traces of coolant but there was no actual leak. At $14 it seemed like a worthwhile bet. It was very easy to use - I went to Youtube and…

Replacement parts of the highest professional standard

I have used this product many times over the years - and have never been disappointed. I always have an unopened package with me - whether on the go or in the parking lot. If you have never used this product you might be surprised by the short mixing and setting times of 8-9 minutes, although the instructions are clear enough. Mix for no more than 2 minutes and apply immediately. Expert advice. Mix small amounts rather than the whole package and gradually repair as needed. The sachets/sachets…

Pros
  • Delivery was very prompt
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Blower worked on my backpack, plastic gas tank (previously)

Updated 8/29/18 - Three years later and this fix is still holding up! Wonderful! It's essentially a permanent fix as long as you go with a dry tank and follow the directions. My initial review is below: I was skeptical of this product for my intended application which was to repair a plastic gas tank on a Husqvarna 155BT blower. The scoop fell and hit the top of the fuel tank, leaving a 1/4 inch diameter hole. I tried Devcon's plastic epoxy and it worked for a while, but then it started leaking
