🐱 Lysine Soft Chews for Cats: Vet Recommended in a 60 Count Pack Review

This product is for my two cats who have dental problems. The product is advertised as "soft chewing gum". They are NOT soft. They are difficult to cut with a knife. My cats can't chew them. I will return to the same product that Dr. Foster and Smith was manufactured. I am very disappointed and now I need to find out how and if I can return them.

My cats have been getting Felavid for a long time, but it was cheaper, so I decided to give it a try. He looks like Felavid, but my cats won't touch him. Cats can be dates. It's just not the taste my cats like. Not the fault of the product. My cats got used to the taste after a few weeks so I switched from Vetri-L-Lysine to Felavid. What a saving!

I ordered another pack of Lysine for my cats but it didn't arrive on time so I ordered these. Worst mistake, my cats couldn't even bite them, they were so hard so I ripped them to pieces and one of my cats kept spitting it out and the other ate something like she hadn't. So I decided to mix it in wet food and my cats decided to eat all the pieces and if he managed to get a piece in his mouth he would spit it out.

I've been using it for several years and I'm very satisfied. Luna is thirteen years old and very happy for her age. I really believe that the product helps their immune system. She has a feline version of herpes that is causing problems around her eyes. She takes one Lysine Soft Chew a day and as long as she takes it she has no problems. The only reason I didn't rate the product 5 stars is because it's not that soft. I grind them for them and sprinkle their food.
