These things smell worse than I can imagine! We threw the box in the trash can indoors after putting the product in our garden and after throwing the trash bag in the big trash can outside and under the sink where the trash still stinks after almost a week! Large ones can displace odors even when closed. We need a new indoor trash can and we've been cleaning under the sink and it still smells so bad! I received this for my new Chihuahua for his indoor lawn and when I opened the package my entire top floor smelled horrible. This is a strong essential oil smell that is not pleasant. I soaked it in alcohol for two days and it didn't do anything. I don't know if it works because I left it in the yard and the dogs didn't even notice. He uses his potty with no problem because I collected some of my big dog's urine (wearing gloves) and put it on his grass pot. It works like magic! I recommend this

Oh my god I opened that sucker in my sewing room. Little did I know it would smell like a dinosaur mated to a modern day dehydrated horse.
