Beautiful wood - but lacks quality control

I love wood. Unfortunately, we didn't have a metal rod to connect the two parts. Even with this turned on, the pieces would never fit together. One was cut crosswise and the other diagonally. I hope the replacement is better - I like the look of the wood. Update 03/12/19: The replacement came with exactly the same problems (pic 2, with instructions), the metal bracket should be there but it isn't. Again, the two parts of the tree don't match - one is cut straight, the other at an angle. This…

The tree is approximately as shown, easy to assemble but has some flaws.

The tree is more or less like the photo, easy to assemble but there are some minor flaws. The metal lug at the base is slightly bent and the hole in the barrel for the lug is a bit large. To keep the tree from tipping over, I had to wrap the tab in tissue paper before installing the trunk - looking at it now, there's almost no sign of a bent tab; I looked at it from all sides. There is also a crack on the barrel, but it is not so deep that it greatly affects the integrity of the product. Apart…

Rating based on whether I bought at full price

I should preface this by explaining that I used Revain cash to get this tree. It serves its purpose very well (I wanted a long thin cedar tree). When I opened the box it smelled heavenly. It was clearly a piece of cedar and I was very excited. When unpacking, however, I noticed poor workmanship. Holes are literally drilled into a piece of cedar into which artificial branches appear to have been hot glued. I wouldn't mind if the company made sure the tree was level. my curve The pieces are…

Buyer warning! - Trees

I'm far from a Christmas killer but I don't want anyone to buy this tree and be as disappointed as I am. I wasn't expecting much at first, but the quality control on this item was seriously lacking - or maybe I just got a bad copy. I only bought it as a prop but I couldn't even use it for that. The two pieces of trunk didn't fit together (the holes weren't drilled deep enough and there was a gap in the trunk) and there were drips of red glue all over the trunk and at least one of the branches…

Not your everyday Christmas tree :-)

I love this Christmas tree! Fits perfectly in the corner and has a whimsical quality that sets it apart from the 'typical' Christmas tree. To clarify some things I've read in other reviews: yes. It requires a lot of flooring after being crammed into a tiny box. My tree had splits in a few places but it wasn't structurally broken (or at least I wasn't) and it has character and the fact that it had a log sold. point me out A lot of people had issues with spacing during assembly. I tapped mine…

Garbage! Two in a row with the same defect! Run - don't walk - RUN!

Unreal! How does that even happen? Unfortunately, this is a known issue that is ongoing and the manufacturer has absolutely no plans to fix it. I just love so many reviews from 2019 and 2020 - both my original and replacement were rubbish! I read the reviews but foolishly thought maybe it was just a bad batch and after 2 years it would have been fixed. NO, who runs this place? grinch? The first had not only a general defect listed below, but also broken branches. Neither attach securely to the…
