- Simple assembly - Stable base plate and piston tower - .

After 10 years in the office I noticed that my back/spine was taking stress from excessive sitting. I've decided to take a chance because you don't mess with your back or your health. Pros: - Easy assembly - Stable baseplate and plunger tower - Clean looks - Quick switch from sitting to standing Cons: - Swivel mount is a bit overkill for me, I wish I could mount the monitor flat on the tower - Desktop is slightly curved after top, causing it to not sit flush with the bottom panel - Minimal…

Piston failure after 1 year of normal use - UPDATE

This product was purchased in June 2017. It worked well until a few days later when the piston, which balances the monitor's weight and makes it easier to move the table up and down, came back and stopped working. Now I have to lift all the weight with my monitor and laptop to get it into a standing position and I can easily straighten my lower back while doing it. So now it works as a seated monitor stand (I didn't buy that expensive table for that purpose). The easy adjustment of the table…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost OK

As far as functional. Might have used another 2-4 inches wide because I have a macro USB keyboard, mouse and numeric pad. You can actually use some cable management accessories to keep things in place as you go up and down. Pros: Comfortable to use while sitting or standing. Easy lifting and lowering. Independent monitor height. The plastic keyboard platform isn't really flat. Slightly increases the height of the seating position. I've also noticed that after a period of non-use, the flasks…

Good choice! Good price!

I work in an office and until recently my day consisted of sitting at my desk and working on my computer. I started looking for a "bar table" after hearing that sitting was worse than smoking! I was concerned that this sit stand converter would not be of good quality as it was relatively cheap compared to some other products that allow you to stand at your desk. All reviews were positive, so I ordered it. As soon as it arrived my boss started assembling it and we both had it ready for me in…

Cheap MDF parts sabotage what could have been a great product

Vertical offset just great. The separate monitor height adjustment is great. But in general, this stand is weak. The keyboard platform is made of MDF and wobbles and flexes. The stand comes with a cheap, spring-loaded plastic leg that needs to be inserted under the keyboard deck to minimize sag and wobble - it still leaves a lot to be desired. I even assembled the entire keyboard platform with liquid nails and saw very little improvement. The height adjustment rails also get stuck and I…

Save up for the best option

I was initially attracted to this product by its lower price point compared to some other options in this category. My use was in the office and I alternated between standing and sitting several times a day. Assembly was easy enough, but one of the stabilizers broke out of the box. I tried contacting the manufacturer for a replacement but I would have to pay for it myself because I bought it from Revain. After a while I decided to replace the standing sticks with three rings because it was…

Pros

Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

I bought VariDesk at work when these sit stand arrangements first came out. Now the competition is a lot bigger and luckily the choice is a lot bigger. For my home office, I chose Victor because both the monitor and keyboard can be placed independently, but there are other qualities that I am very happy with: a) small footprint on my desk, b) very easy assembly, c) workspace zone to use my MacAir laptop instead of an external keyboard (not the case with some of the existing designs), d) and…

Great option for a bar table!

I've been standing up looking at desks for a few months and can't decide. I didn't want to spend a lot and then I realized I hated this item. I tested the VariDesk and found that it was too bulky and the height adjustment was limited to preset levels. After reading reviews from many others I settled on the Victor High Rise although I was a bit skeptical as I didn't know how durable it was. I was afraid it would tip over, but I was pleasantly surprised that the base is very heavy and doesn't…

Get one, you won't regret it!

I was very skeptical as this desktop converter only had one rating. I bought it because it's Prime compliant and I know I won't have a problem with a return as Revain complied. Now I have no interest in returning it and almost everyone in my office wants it. This is a great alternative to spending $1500 on a full size table. I'm giving it five stars overall as the remodeling of this desk exceeded my expectations but that doesn't mean there could be an improvement: Pros: 1. I'm 6ft 5in and on…
