I know it's a laptop bag but the Wenger I had before was more than big enough to hold all my EDC gear (Europe). You can do that too, but the compartments are quite small and narrow. I love Victorinox products so I decided to keep them and am happy with my decision. I love this backpack! I was looking for a good backpack and even ordered some popular brands like Northern Face and Underarmor but didn't like them and ended up sending it back. My wife and I are retired and in addition to traveling we often go to restaurants and cafes. I carry all our stuff. I use a roomy, padded center compartment for my DSLR, an extra lens, and a tiny tripod and small accessories to keep room. There is a small mesh pocket for a tripod so it won't scratch the camera. *Almost* The best backpack I've ever had. More than it seems. I carry my outdated HP 15" laptop around with me every day, no problem. Along with the AC adapter which is in the front lower pocket. And along with many other things stuffed into one pocket or another. But it has pockets for everything and can be organized accordingly. I really can't say enough about this bag.
