Doesn't work for what I wanted.

I have no opinion on the quality of this product. Even though I read the description it didn't work for what I wanted. I needed a switch for my RV between shore power and a generator. Attention, this is a switch with 2 inputs and 2 outputs. I needed 2 inputs 1 output. If you use this switch, it will power any device you are not using, which can damage the generator. Also, the terminals will not accept wires larger than 10 AWG. So if you use larger wires you will need to fit spade lugs. Again…

Good quality build but not a viable alternative to a drum switch

Great fit and finish. A very positive click in any position. However, the 12-terminal model is not suitable for connecting an AC motor reversing circuit. AC motor reversing circuit includes 6 wires and ground. So 6 wires x 2 positions = 12 connections. NO! The switch only closes and brakes 3 wires in position 1 and 3 wires in position 2. However, you must short and brake all 6 wires per position. A 16-pin switch is therefore required. But even 16 requires a lot of jumpers (e.g. 8, 10?)…

Does the RV 100V Shore/Inverter Selector Boondocing Switch do the work, it really takes half a brain.

Be sure to buy a model for your work. 8 terminals means switchable 2-wire, switchable positive-neutral 110V. and uses a separate common ground bus. (Grid/OFF/INVERTER) I connected it for 2 power supplies in/1 out. Used to switch RV shore power to inverter power. Two of 5 circuits are switched. The inverter on/off switch is installed side by side. A 1500W sine wave inverter powers everything except AC and cold (AC/DC/Propane) and the charger. Only do this if you are an electrician or know a good
