Over voltage protection To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to over voltage. The load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16V respectively 32V. Ultra low current consumption This is important in case of Li-ion batteries, especially after. The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non essential loads before it is completely discharged. Before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine.

Works after 3 months

No longer works after 3 months. I had to bypass it to get my system to work. I haven't tried to contact anyone about the error.

Terribly not very usable it's a nice piece of metal quite blue in color

It could be a very good piece of electronics but the documentation is terrible , I can't get it to work the way it was designed to use, it's not very comfortable to use, it's a nice piece of metal, rather blue

Stops working after a month

My BP-220 stopped working after a month. It turns on, but has a large voltage drop. It is connected correctly and draws a maximum of 80 amps for about 2 minutes. To top it off, I can't find any warranty information. Buy from a company with technical support

Good product for my solar system installed in Uganda.

I purchased this item after realizing that my inverter had tripped 'dangerously' at 9.5V low voltage. I was even lucky enough to get a free upgrade to the Smart version. It works surprisingly well, and with the smart option I can even increase the voltage cutoff to a higher value, a feature not available on the non-smart type (I currently set the LVD to 12.6V).
