💨 12 Inch Black Industrial Floor Fan by Vie Air: Powerful, Quiet, Heavy Duty Metal Design Review

Bought this fan for year round use to remove air from a computer room that gets very hot. It doesn't say so in the description, but it's a three-speed fan, very quiet. It makes a robust and very well-made impression. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I liked the first one I bought it seemed to be very durable. Ordered another one and it arrived damaged so it doesn't work. I replaced him and he came with a slightly bent leg. Although it didn't affect the fan. But this company seems to send shredded packages. So order at your own risk.

I have one in my office. Because I suffer from Minear's disease, I have to keep turning the volume up a little to keep my tinnitus under control. This fan is the perfect office air circulator/ear friendly friend I could have! Very strong metal and a great almost retro looking block. I love my fan!

I got this and just a warning. Expect the paddles to hit the front grille when engaged. I solved this problem by removing the screws, reinstalling the cover with the "clips" closed to create a gap (i.e. extending the grille cover further), and screwing it to the rear grille with a zip tie. Or was I just lucky and caught a defect? Another thing is that it works great but not recommended. = /

Has ball bearings, which are noisier than plain bearings. Consumes more power and moves less air than other fans while generating more noise. Low speed, not low enough, too loud to sleep next to it. In general the design is good. Industrial correct, not for home use. This fan is neither silent nor powerful, misleading advertising. For testing I used calibrated test adapters. The performance is as follows: High 47.3; average 42.0; Low 39.4.

Didn't know it was a compact fan even though it says 12". This is my fault, but this is a minus for the product. The air blows hard for a fan of this size, and the all-metal construction isn't cheap. If you really need powerful airflow, this device is not for high power applications. It doesn't look or work like $30+ hardware. You can get similar performance from a plastic box fan at Walgreens for under $20. The build and compact design is good if you want to save space.

The instructions for the BA-12 model I ordered and received state that the fan has a replaceable fuse and comes with a ring spanner to tighten the tilt mechanism. My package did not include a wrench and a retractable fuse cover. I assume there is a fuse somewhere for overload protection, but it's certainly not user-replaceable.
