Heavy, durable, great quality!

Heavier and thicker than I expected. Great quality and perfect for everyday use as well as special occasions. I mainly use it for sewing when measuring and cutting fabrics. Very happy with the purchase!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No Instructions

Rusts like crazy, very thick and heavy

It rusts like crazy I haven't even had it anywhere near water and I live in California, not Florida no rust, stainless steel or aluminum Update: I was offered $30 to remove/remove my review which I think is very wrong

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • So-so

Attention cover

The size of the square is good. However, the "coating" makes the square look too shiny and the light in my shop bounces off it, making it difficult to read. If you expose it to the heat for a while while working outdoors, it will actually stick to whatever it's on. I would like advice on removing the cover.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

A QUALITY stainless steel frame at a bargain price

Very good price so I had my doubts but this is a great product for a low price. I used it in the Texas heat, got caught in the rain and forgot about it. It's in good condition and worth a lot more than what I paid for. It's thick and strong, just the way you want it. Numbers and characters are inserted in it - solidly made, like the old ones, which cost much more.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Working speed

Very good quality, great lettering

Great square. I'm glad I bought this one. It reminds me of US quality. Pitch 1/8 and 1/12 on one side, millimeters on the other. They are pressed, "stamped" or "wrapped" in steel and are all crisp and clear. Has a clear coat to preserve the finish. I ordered a Johnson square but returned it with graduations etched into the metal due to deep scratches and nicks. I prefer VINKA

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • So far so good

Fine except for the coating that affects readability

Weight is correct, markings are actually engraved. But as others have noted, there is a coating that spoils the look of this square. It comes in a vinyl-like sleeve, and as soon as I took it off, I saw that the square's cover had an odd non-permanent discoloration that made it look non-new and affected the legibility of the text. See photos. I didn't expect that for something new. I haven't tried removing it yet.

Pros
  • Easy adjustment
Cons
  • When in doubt

Strong, Precise, Durable L Bracket!

This Vinca 8" x 12" steel frame is a sturdy square. The square is made of steel which has some weight to stay in place and not move. Markers are stamped and epoxy coated to resist rust. The coating leaves a glossy, smooth surface that reflects light, and blackening the markings would improve visibility. I mainly use it as a guide for adjusting the patterns, so I don't really care about the stamped marks, but the numbers are big and easy to read in good light. What I need in a square is accurate

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Useful, durable and fairly accurate

This is accurate enough for my purposes. No gaps were found when compared to a known good square. When checked with an electronic square, it reads 89.95-90.00 degrees. When I put it on a granite countertop it wasn't flat. I clamped it in a vise to straighten it and it was surprisingly difficult to straighten by hand. There is a little spring in the metal, which is good. . The edges are rough. He left a small wavy pencil line. So I rubbed it down with medium grit sandpaper to remove the sharp…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

I'm a bookbinder and I use this for final trimming of thick books. I don't use it for measuring - only for perpendicular cuts. I've never had a square that didn't need some tweaking. This one was no different. It was offset (slightly sharp) at the end of the blade by 0.0175 inches (0.445 mm). I was going to sand it anyway as the edges were pretty rough so I started with 280 wet/dry sandpaper on a piece of thick flat glass. When I finished everything was almost perfect. The blade was slightly…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
