I looked at several Edison light kits and settled on this one because of the cord. Some cables on other kits were flimsy and cheap. They have a thick, high-quality fabric cord that gives the lights a more sophisticated look.

These are not pendant lights and they don't look like the pictures. These are just fixings and there is nothing "vintage" about the cord and socket. No bulbs which are NOT included, it's just an overpriced power cord.

How to disassemble it. Everything unscrews very easily. The last part is a bit more difficult and requires a small screwdriver. Push back the metal tab on the head (as shown) to prevent it from catching on the small protrusions on the fork body as shown. I'll post a review later once I've decided if I like it. My first conclusion, however, is that it is well made. The cable is very thick and the fit and finish is tight.

Okay it's just a lamp cord but I was surprised how good they are. The cable is thick and heavy, with good fabric and a thick rubber plug, and the socket looks like vintage Bakelite. The dimmer switch also looks vintage, although it is decidedly modern. Even the plastic bag they came in was soft and high quality, like what Apple would use. I bought this, actually bought it used to save a few bucks. The few dollars I saved went into lamp frames, which I bought for about $4 each. They were easy to install but I had to use my own screws to hang the lamps. I had to buy new lamps but I like these better. Not a bad deal. I still wish some manufacturers would sell lampshades or cones at decent prices. For the price of one lampshade I get 2, sometimes 3 new lamps with the same lampshade. I was really happy to finally hang my macrame wall mounted chandelier, but I had a few problems.1. I don't think this flashlight is Wi-Fi compatible.
