What has arrived is not a test tube for an areometer. That .

No hydrometer test glass arrived. It was a cheap measuring cylinder with markings on all sides, the use of which interfered with the hydrometer reading. Not like in the photo. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Only available in white

Ungraduated cylinder

The product delivered does not have a graduated cylinder marking as shown in the photo. Still works as a hydrometer cylinder, but not if you intend to measure volume as well. The base is different from the photo, but it doesn't matter.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Poor quality when tested, measured and verified

Looks and feels like cheap plastic and not durable. I sent the product back and the seller gave half price and didn't bother to message me. When I inquired the seller said one of them had broken into the shipping container so they only gave half the price.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Cheap - does not match the picture.

A cheap plastic tube with a plastic bottom glued at a slight angle (not quite upright on the countertop). Doesn't look like the picture in the ad at all. The top edge of the tube is not rounded at all, and there are no graduated cylindrical marks on it. Looks like it will be good for home brewing, maybe for a while.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • embarrassing

I had to take 4 full thieves out of my bottle to get full.

This sampler is too big for my liking. I had to take 4 full thieves out of my bottle to fill it with enough liquid for the hydrometer to read. It might not matter much if you don't use it for beer or don't care about oxidation, but I just picked up another test can at my homebrew shop this weekend that's about half the diameter and only fills by about 1 to measure. 5 liquid thieves. This one is only used when everyone else is arrested.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Quality
