Heel slips in shoes while walking

Shoelaces are slippery and difficult to tie or tighten. Also, my heel slips when walking in these shoes. I sent back the first pair I received a half size smaller and had the same problem. I can't get them back down without being too tight in the toe box.

  • Free for educational purposes

Nice but the heel pad causes the heel to slip

These shoes are beautiful and just what I wanted but the heel pad is in an odd place on the bottom of the shoe causing the heel to rise and slides down, making them really uncomfortable. Unfortunately I have to send them back. I gave them 3 stars just because they are so beautiful. I would like to keep them.

  • Looks great

Vionics/Orthaheel are the best!

2nd pair. So convenient right out of the box. I have bursitis and hammer toe. It is difficult to find comfortable closed shoes. I swear by Orthoheel orthotics. Saved my feet, legs and back working on cement floors in the operating room all day. Since using them years ago I have had very few shoes other than Vionic. Includes sandals. Thank you!

Pros
  • Suitable for many
Cons
  • Periodicity

Lightweight but lacks some features

These shoes are nice and light but they don't have eyelets in the laces so the laces are very difficult to untie or tighten (and I'm afraid the holes wear out quite a bit off quickly). This is my exact size for Vionic (which is half the size of any other brand). They are a bit slippery in heels as others have noted.

  • Well built

Heel slides when walking

I am sending them back. As soon as I tried it on, I realized that the back of the shoe wasn't high enough. I walked around the house, my heel slipping out of the heel of my boot with every step. I decided to test them out on my elliptical anyway, and my heel would slip on every slide. While the arch support I need felt good, my leg on the opposite side was starting to hurt, so I won't even try. I love every other pair of Vionics I own but these were a huge flop.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Reliability

Disappointing. Had potential

This shoe had potential. I liked the look and the color. The price has been reduced to affordable for my budget. However, as mentioned in other reviews, my heels are slipping out completely. Unfortunately I will have to send them back. Otherwise the size is the same as all my other shoes. As if the orthopedic insole in the heel is too high and the height of the shoe is not enough. I can't get it to work. This was also a problem for me with custom orthotics made by my doctor. I figured if I…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
