Item was identical to my Jeep Wrangler remote control key fob. Paid $100 cash to a locksmith (negotiated, originally asked me for $180 but I asked for a price for a trip to theirs) to program it and it works great.

We found our missing keychain so it wasn't needed. The quality is good and you need a special programmer to sync with Jeep Wrangler JL. Key fobs are only good for one vehicle use, and that's it. That means once and done. You will most likely need a dealer. Overall a terrible setup from Jeep. Not customer oriented.

After purchasing it I was hoping I could program the key fob myself. I found on their website that it needs to be programmed by a locksmith or dealer. The description of this item stated that programming instructions for this key fob would be included. The only thing included was a sheet of paper with 3 websites to visit for programming instructions. The websites will tell you that the key must be programmed by a dealer or locksmith. I bought these for my 2018 JL Wrangler after losing both my keys. Was horrified they wouldn't work because locksmiths don't usually cut your pay if they come out and it doesn't work. They will of course also not guarantee any keys they have not provided. Anyway they coded perfectly without duplication keys and I've been using them for about 2 weeks and I'm very happy with them.
