It is best to use Doorstop

Works great, very safe and reliable.

Of course you can use a piece of garden hose and some twine to create an attachment point on streamlined cars and trucks. But why bother when they cost less, are a lot more comfortable and last longer. The longer straps on them compared to some of the competition will fit almost every door, sunroof, hood I've tried them on. (Some competitor straps were too short and disappeared as soon as the top was closed.) Quality is good. functionality is good. The price is good. Satisfied customer.
