Vortex SP402K Black 10mm Swingarm Spool: Enhance Motorcycle Stability with Premium Quality Review

Vortex is a well known brand that produces quality items. You can't go wrong with these roles. Good finishes. Some people don't like the fact that the threads are silver instead of black, but once it's on you can't tell if you're being too picky, it could be a problem.

Well I don't use them as frame sliders but as bungee attachment points for my win in Las Vegas. Use slightly longer screws than supplied. It fits me, I ordered 2 sets and got 4 screws from the hardware store for 1.50 each and now I have nice spots to attach weights to my rack.

Spools are good but screws are not black as shown. As this is half the product this is a significant omission. The coils themselves are great for mounting my Ninja 650R on a rear stand. I recommend putting some blue LocTite on the bolts as the vibrations are pretty intense at that point on the bike.

This product installed easily on my 07 zx6r. I didn't get any fall damage but I'm happy with my purchase. I like the looks. Simple hex key for installation. I don't know how durable the anodized paint is or if it fades quickly in the sun.

The coils themselves are well made but the only reason I've bought over 30-40 very similar ones from other companies was the screws that go on The product image showed black. The ones I received had silver studs. Shouldn't be returned, but that's serious nonsense. I'm also not the first reviewer to complain about this which is why they seem to ignore their reviewers as it takes less than a day to take an updated product photo and replace it.

I have two problems with these coils: #1 They are distorted on pictures. The screw is not black. The bolt is silver gray like the standard bolt. #2 Compatibility is incorrectly marked. I'm assuming the compatibility list is correct, so I didn't do any research of my own before ordering these coils. I entered my bike information on top of the car panel (2014 Kawasaki ZX6R 636) and was told 10mm was compatible. I ordered 10mm and it's too much. I've scoured the internet a bit and the right size…
