DECT 6.0 Digital technology. Caller ID/Call Waiting*-stores 50 calls. Handset and base speakerphones. Quiet Mode. ECO mode power-conserving technology. Expandable up to 5 handsets with only one phone jack. For optimal performance batteries should be charged for 16 hours prior to use. DSL Subscribers may need to us a DSL Filter. Conference between an outside line and up to 4 cordless handsets. Wall mount bracket is integrated into the underside of the base unit, flipping the bracket to the down position allows the base to mount to a wall. NOTE: Refer the User Guide from the Technical Specification before use which is highly recommended.

Good for work when you need something basic

I got this for my office - works very well for something basic, answering machine, caller id . The only thing that confuses me is that the handle is very light so it kind of slips when hanging. I don't know if that means it was made cheaply or maybe to update how heavy the handpiece was back then, but it's way too light now if you ask me. Update: Ironically for a few days after leaving it I couldn't hear the people on the other end and they couldn't hear me, the phone company said it wasโ€ฆ

very satisfied! in Phones & Accessories

I know most people don't actually buy corded phones anymore but I'm in my 20's and although I use my cell phone most of the time I found it important to have it too a house line. When I was looking at home phone options, I was glad to see a wired phone because, honestly, I was tired of constantly looking for my phone. Can't wait to find my phone at home too! Even with phones that have a paging system, I still have to find it and get it out of sofa crevices when it gets stuck. And forget aboutโ€ฆ

VTECH - CS6649 - FUNCTIONAL TELEPHONE SYSTEM WITH VOIP - 5 STARS!

I upgraded to AT&T VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) in January this year and some VOIP specific phone systems cost twice as much as phone system Vtech! My mom had a lot of VTech phones so I was already convinced of the quality of their phones. This phone system has many features that make it an amazing purchase! Here are just a few: you can create your own message or use a pre-recorded message for your answering machine, you can turn the answering machine on or off with the push of a button.
