I upgraded to AT&T VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) in January this year and some VOIP specific phone systems cost twice as much as phone system Vtech! My mom had a lot of VTech phones so I was already convinced of the quality of their phones. This phone system has many features that make it an amazing purchase! Here are just a few: you can create your own message or use a pre-recorded message for your answering machine, you can turn the answering machine on or off with the push of a button. When you leave home and return home and have messages, you will see a flashing light on the base to let you know. You can completely turn off the ringer, increase and decrease the ringer volume, and you can even program this phone to turn itself off for many hours and turn back on automatically. It has an important "FIND HANDSET" feature for those of us who occasionally lose our cordless phones and end up wasting valuable time looking for them. It also has a mute button on the base as well as on the handset. The buttons (as well as the letters and numbers on them) are nice and big so you can see at a glance which buttons to press, making it a great choice for the elderly or those with low vision. Although the base buttons are not lit, the handset buttons are lit. The sound quality is excellent! None of the static electricity I've experienced on my landlines! I chose this phone because it has hands-free calling on both the base and the cordless phone that comes with this system, which makes it a lot more convenient when someone is calling and you're trying to do the dishes etc. I I also like the fact that the base station comes with a corded phone if you want your conversations to be more private. For those of you who don't have a cell phone or use it rarely, this VTech phone system is also a good choice! This phone system is very easy to set up and I love how the screen works on the base. An angle that makes it easy for you to see who's calling if, like me, you have your phone on your desk. This VTech phone system is one of the best purchases I've ever made from Revain and definitely the best digital phone system I've ever had! I highly recommend it!
