High-Quality VW Lug Bolts for Enhanced Safety - Set of 4 Review

Matches perfectly with the factory 17mm eyebolts on our 2012 Jetta Stroller. Now we're rid of the stupid wheel bolts and adapters! They were a lot cheaper than the local VW dealer! Also required four new plastic VW cleat caps as the ones that fit on the locking tabs are different and will not fit 17mm hex sockets.

For some inexplicable reason, the VW I bought didn't have an eyelet on every wheel. Apparently the previous owner decided he didn't need the locknut so he just removed it and didn't bother replacing it. They fit well and I feel more confident knowing there are now 5 studs on each wheel. Unbelievable.

I bought these to replace the wheel locks on my MK6 GTI as I bought a used car and the set did not come with a key . I mounted them on other bolts on my car and they fit perfectly. I didn't use them though because when I got new tires on my car and asked to have the wheel lock bolts removed, the dealer gave me new bolts and these plastic caps for free.

I used a BESITA wrench to remove the anti-theft eyebolts on a 2009 Jetta and replaced them with these eyebolts so we didn't have any more wrenches with nuts had to buy the future. The car was bought used and the spare wheel holder did not have a lug wrench and could not change the tires on the car when they were worn. They are great for replacing anti-theft bolts.

These are not OEM VM parts. The eye bolts came in a sealed universal bag without the expected VM markings or part numbers. The screws themselves are not factory stamped. The screws have approximately the same dimensions and the correct thread pattern. The seat is not as reliable as the OEM bolt. They should be fine as spares but I don't believe in their quality for such an important part.
