I tried it, I liked the sound, the feeling of a slight *hiss* of balls rolling down the lane. There is virtually no lateral vibration, which is a key factor for me. Upgraded all of my 608 spinners to this particular model. This requires a short break-in period. You will love it when you use it for the first time. You will love it the more you use it. Most spinner visors charge $30 to upgrade to full ceramic. I will buy the base model and still upgrade for less money. *win* *win* in this case. I

Based on some other reviews and my experience it seems it's a bit of a gamble on which bearing you get. Someone else said they have a 6 bearing assembly (instead of the 8 bearing assembly shown). I have 7 bearing arrangement. Better than 6 I think but not as good as the 8 bearing assembly they show in the photos. So keep in mind that you will pay extra for a unit with 8 bearings.
