Almost perfect, but with a caveat

This is a great alternative to a full touchpad keyboard for HTPC. While you can't customize the shortcuts out of the box, I find the ones they provide very well thought out for HTPC customization. If you want to customize these buttons, you should use something like AHK to remap the shortcuts. The IR function is very easy to set up. I didn't have to program the main buttons as the remote seems to have calculated most of the mapping automatically after I programmed the power button. The front of

Impressive! suitable for computers and accessories

Pros: The gyroscope mouse worked very well. If you've ever used a Wii Mote, you'll find it very familiar. The keyboard and keys feel comfortable. If you've ever used a 2000's cell phone with a slide-out keyboard, you're sure to love it. There is a button to turn the mouse on and off (very handy when you're watching a movie and don't want to accidentally press the mouse). Automatically detects when the remote is turned over to type and turns the mouse off. Mouse gyroscope so you have to press…

It's not that bad for a remote control. It works exactly as they claim it does. I like the dedicated Windows keys and they work remotely, which is helpful. However, I would say DO NOT BUY THIS REMOTE. Here is a list of reasons why: (1) In order to activate the flying mouse function, you need to press a special key. I don't really have a problem with this, other than every other similar remote I've used doesn't have such a button. I find it cumbersome. (2) You can easily program your TV or other

Great remote, minor issues with TCL Roku TV Remote

UPDATE: I contacted support and they were very helpful. They actually bought the remote online to test it for me. The Roku TV remote uses unusual IR coding, but simply pressing the button (without holding it down) works to program the W10 GYRO remote. Unfortunately, I can't hold down a button to repeat an action like changing the volume, instead I have to press the same button multiple times. I was looking for a remote control for my gaming PC that I would connect to my TV. I've looked at these

Super programmable IR remote control. This is also an air mouse!

I bought this remote mainly because it had over 30 buttons that could be programmed with the IR learning function. Its predecessor, the MX3 air mouse, had only 4 programmable buttons and was prone to double keystrokes. Despite being more compact than my old remote, the button layout is still practical. It also has Delete, Tab, Shift and other keys my old keyboard didn't have, making my time on the couch more productive (and my dogs happier since they don't have to share lap space with a…

Solid performance overall but not without quirks with updates

See updates below! as well as my integrated Hegel amplifier and Vizio TV. Overall the feature is pretty good. Sometimes some buttons don't register and I have to press them again, and when the volume is turned down there's usually double clicks, but overall pretty stable operation, like a regular remote control. The Windows functionality works very well, the Air Mouse takes some getting used to and is ok. slow movements don't usually register, but eventually you'll get the hang of it. The…
