Really not that cool. I've had it a few days and compare it to chilled drinks at gas stations? Drinks at gas stations are much colder than drinks in this cooler. Warning: If you leave the cool box connected to the cigarette lighter for a long time, the plastic plug of the cool box will become so hot that you will burn your head. that fork!

It was the perfect cooler for our summer trip. It plugged into the cigarette lighter and kept our drinks and snacks cool throughout the trip. It has nothing to secure it, so it rocks. Stayed relatively cool while the machine wasn't running and it would have been nice if it came with a home adapter but you can get them pretty cheap at Walmart/Amazon. We found ours in the clearance department for $5.

This cooler is fantastic! I bought it to take with me on vacation; I am celiac and it was perfect for my lunch of meat, cheese, apples and sparkling water. No more ice! Everything about it was nice and cold - and no need to hunt down places for a gluten-free lunch. I put it in the front seat but the cord is enough to put the cooler in the back seat or on the floor. So happy not to have to bother with buying dirty melting ice cream.

When it comes to this cooler, it's going to be cold - I mean colder than what you might find in a home refrigerator.
