Large, 5.2 ft long. Best for dogs 40-95 lbs. A professional dog trainer favorite! Gets your dog out of his crate and with you while still under control as he learns how to behave. A must-have dog training aid! Can be used as a Time Out area when your dog misbehaves. Easy to loop around a piece of furniture or attach to a hook in the wall. Take it with you to different areas of your home, or get several. Resists chewing and tangling. Plastic coating helps to protect furniture. Convenient for travel. Very difficult to find in stores. Leash training should be a must for super

The only part my chewing monster (6 month old 50 lb mix) could get his hands on was the rubber covers on the end of the wire. This cable has survived many escape attempts.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Drives me crazy

Good Tether is the best training and behavior assistant

Tethers are a very good tool for dog owners. Should not be overused but is excellent for training, checking on guest arrivals and whenever temporary containment is required. This cable is as advertised and I'm pleased with the small, lightweight size.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So-so

Good solution for puppy safety

The leash is ideal for stopping your dog running through the front door when people are coming in or just standing at the door and chatting or when he needs to calm down . The chew cover can still be bitten through by puppy teeth and tears fairly easily while still intact. I don't like the heaviness of the clamps because we have the cable around our wood railing. It does its job and brings relief.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Holds a Bullmastiff on a leash

Love that he ties our 8 month old puppy to our dining table so I don't have to worry about him disturbing our adult dog or getting in trouble while my hands it are busy with other household chores. He might whine a bit, but I think he's happier being inside with us than breaking down doors from the outside. It also worked well outside, tied to a beam on our porch when we had company. He was still out of fun and we weren't worried about him upsetting the kids. It did chew through some of the…

So far so good good for dogs

My 6 month old Labrador has chewed almost anything advertised as chewable in just hours and sometimes minutes. We went through half a dozen leashes, both nylon and leather. Who knows how many toys that claim to be indestructible have been ripped apart in a matter of minutes. We've had this cable for a few months now. Of course, the first time we put her on it, she started chewing on it. She managed to gnaw off the plastic caps that hold the ends together and cover the metal, but the cable…

Pros
  • Outstanding design
Cons
  • Embarrassing

Exactly what I was looking for.

We recently adopted a hyperactive puppy and needed a training device to teach her boundaries and manners in our home. We tried it with three separate nylon lines, each of which she easily chewed through in 5 minutes so that they ended up in the bin. We ran out of lines and the training wasn't going anywhere. She searched, and despite the pup chewing through all the plastic on the steel cable, she finally realized she couldn't chew through the steel, and now training her was a breeze. Has seen…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great solution to the problem

I take my two dogs (lab mix and large boxer mix) to the dog park every day. As we pull up and I pick up the back door of the van, they both shoot out from behind like bullets and run toward the park entrance. If you take your dog to the park, you should always keep them on a leash outside of an enclosed area. Well, they're both on leashes. It's just that nobody is holding on to the other end. They are free and occasionally meet other dogs that come out of the park, some of these dogs are quite…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
