I take my two dogs (lab mix and large boxer mix) to the dog park every day. As we pull up and I pick up the back door of the van, they both shoot out from behind like bullets and run toward the park entrance. If you take your dog to the park, you should always keep them on a leash outside of an enclosed area. Well, they're both on leashes. It's just that nobody is holding on to the other end. They are free and occasionally meet other dogs that come out of the park, some of these dogs are quite small and not interested in befriending a 91 lb boxer. A month ago I ordered one of these cables. I tried cloth ties but the dogs chewed them through. If I now open the back door of the SW, only one dog shoots out like a bullet, the unbound one. The other one (because she can't jump when she's tied up) behaves well and we go together to the entrance of the park. Today I will be ordering a second leash so I can have two well behaved dogs instead of one.
