This is the best cheap mod you can make Durango.

Put this in my Durango which needs a 9005 type bulb. With a tiny modification with a couple of nail clippers they connect straight and tight and secure. Made a HUGE difference as I've had trouble seeing at night since I bought my Durango. This is the best cheap mod you can make for a Durango with halogens.

Worthy replacement for a bulb 9005

Used this lamp as a replacement for a 9005 lamp. Cutting the top tab was a breeze using a Dremel and a plastic cutting disc. Google it and you'll find the specs. The bulbs I received were marked Wagner in the outer box and not Philips as others have mentioned. It is still made in Germany. This is a slight improvement in brightness (about 20% if the math is right). Definitely worth the money and effort.

There are no production marks at all.

I replaced the high and low beams in my car while using the headlight restoration kit. While these bulbs are sold as Wagner, the ones I received came in a plain white box with no manufacturer's name anywhere on the packaging or on the bulb itself. While I've seen a definite improvement with the Sylvania low beams, my high beams don't shine much brighter than the series. Next time I will buy the Phillips brand.

  • Great for a small house

HIR > Halogen bulbs

These are the best bulbs on the market. I swapped my low/high beams for 9012/9011 bulbs with tab mods and the difference is unreal. Now I can illuminate the road much better, which helps in dark rural areas and mountain roads. This is necessary for those with 9006/9005 bulbs who have light output issues. The lumens are almost twice as high as before and it's quite noticeable; Of course, this comes at the cost of less durability, but I think it's a good compromise, especially since I now feel…

but there was a small change. These bulbs are brighter than stock.

I bought these bulbs to replace the high beam bulbs on my 2010 Subaru Outback. It took a little modification to make one of the locking tabs smaller, but it was easy. These bulbs are brighter than the stock 9005 bulbs I had in my high beams, but I wouldn't say they're different day and night or anything. Probably 30% brighter. Overall I was very satisfied as they are definitely lighter in color and the price was a lot lower than any store I've gone to!

If you like the $20 Phillips, buy it and keep it. Same brand!

My car uses 9011 bulbs for daytime running and high beam. I replaced the driver's side 10/14 with a Phillips purchased from Revain. It only lasted 4 months so I decided to try Wagner. But what was in the box? Exactly the same Phillips bulb, with Phillips markings, codes etc. The only difference is that instead of being packaged for hanging the lamp in the shop, it came in a small white box wrapped in thin foam rubber. 4 stars because it's the right item and fits perfectly, but that's a bit…

Bright but not brighter.

I received these to replace my Xentec 9005 35w HID kit because a bulb kept burning out. I did as instructed by others, cut the top tab to 8mm wide and the bulbs fit my 2010 Taurus Sel. and after the photo. The whiter lights are the Xentec Hid and the yellow ones are. The headlight had a bulb (on the aisle side) that either didn't fit in the socket or was poorly made, as the light pattern was diffuse and not focused like that on the driver's side. Always annoyed me on dark streets. It's not an…

buy them for the price. no need to keep shopping.

As most reviews say, these are really Philips lamps in a universal package. Don't waste your money on fancy packaging, that's the ONLY difference. The bulbs went into my Silverado 06 with ZERO trim. The base of the fork isn't perfectly vertical due to the extra width of the lip, but they are fully locked. I don't know if they are as bright as the original HIR bulbs but they are definitely brighter than the Philips 9005 bulbs they replaced, maybe 20-30% brighter and noticeably whiter. The…

Repacked Philips at a great price. A solid upgrade from the 9005s.

Wagner 9011 lamps are nothing more than newly packaged Philips 9011 HIR lamps. So save money on fancy shelf wrap and just buy it. I would recommend wiping down each bulb with alcohol wipes prior to installation. I do this with every halogen bulb I install, regardless of packaging style. I bought the 9011 bulbs as an upgrade over my OEM 9005 high beam bulbs. While I'm not entirely sure if the original HIR technology is more widely used as the glass bulbs are not coated at all, I can see improved
