I bought this about 6 months ago to paint an old cloak. It has 2 temperature settings and works very well. Goes through multiple coats of old paint with ease. The switch on the handle started to stick after about a dozen uses. Often allows me to just use the lower temperature setting. I would only buy them again if they made the switch more durable.

I have ordered 6 or more of these heat guns over the course of a year - for my business - and they break or stop working after a few weeks of use. I called WAGNER direct and they tried to tell me they only have a 30 day warranty for commercial use and 2 years for homeowners. It makes no sense. I've spent over $500 on products I've only been able to use for a few weeks (Wagner Furno 300).

I had to remove the glue from the garland. My main concern was to melt the glue without melting the copper wiring. These lanterns are very fragile to begin with, and it was extremely important to keep them in working order. It worked great! The Furno 300 heat gun melted the glue in about five seconds and the glue just fell off the wires. He did exactly what I hoped this project would do. Now I have a new tool to tackle a few more projects I've been putting off. Thank you Wagner!

My husband has wanted a heat gun for a long time. I saw how hard it was for him to work with heat shrink tubing in the garage. I read the reviews and this Wagner looks good and at a great price. I installed it for him on a desktop in the garage. The power cord plug is blocked as soon as it is inserted into the hair dryer. There is a small hole that can be uncovered with a small tool. Works great: Thawed the damn drainpipe in my freezer, even thawed a bit if I wasn't careful. Obviously my own fault, I'm glad it has the power to do so. I also helped melt plastic on some solar panels, and for fun and laughs, I lit kindling and charcoal in my fireplace (the box featured charcoal lighting as one of his skills). To my surprise it worked but took a few minutes to light up but damn it went off as soon as it lit up.

Good for shaping EVA foam. (Be careful when heating the foam: buy a respirator, do it in a ventilated area, don't do it around pets.) The on/off switch is very easy to operate with one hand. This is a BIG heat gun! It heats up instantly (there are 2 temperature settings) and is easy to use. I use it with PVC shrink bags to seal gift baskets and food grade polyolefin shrink bags to seal customized cookies.
