Our staff saved

I work in the infection department. I'm buying them for the clinic to alert doctors that their '0900' is in room 1. But now we use them during these pandemics. The range is amazing and the nurse can communicate with our doctors from outside the building. The call and alarm button can be used to alert everyone to a possible situation without causing panic. We can hang them uncompromisingly around our necks without PPE. They can also be wiped with bleach wipes for disinfection. The best purchase…

Pros

Cons
  • So far so good

Worked well for the event

I bought the walkie talkies you use at an open air festival with a three to four city block range. When I received them I was a bit disappointed as they are very light and quite small and the packaging suggested they were suitable for children. Regardless, I put batteries in them, which gave them a bit more weight, tuned them all to the same channel, and they worked surprisingly well for our needs. We were able to easily communicate with team members several blocks away. They were crisp and not

Survived my child's hiking adventure.

Great walkie talkies for the price! We took them on a hike this weekend and all four survived. (Walkie-talkies and folks, haha.) This includes my seven-year-old dropping his several times. It's scratched but still works great. I'm not sure how far they worked, but we walked the nature trails and talked the whole time. After about six hours on the road, the batteries are still more than half empty. There are many channels and privacy bands to choose from. We didn't hit the intersection. I was…

Great item - one of ours is defective

UPDATE 05/06/20: The manufacturer/seller saw my review and contacted me immediately. They regretted that one of ours was broken and wanted to fix it. They asked if we would mind getting a new pair of walkie-talkies and sent them straight away. I am very impressed with the customer service and the new walkie talkies work great. Definitely a great purchase with quality customer service to back it up. We are very happy. Original Review: We bought these walkie talkies to use when skiing and hiking…

Great affordable option with great features

This is a great option for those looking for a basic radio with reasonable range. They also represent a good option for those looking for more than "simple". At first we thought these radios might not bring you much due to the price. Over the years we have manufactured several radios, from the simplest Motorola radios to powerful digitally encrypted radios. So we've had quite a few radios over the years and almost none of them fell into that price range. So how can these radios compete with…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Not the best option

Compared to more expensive brands

Very nice radio set. They have everything you need including the standard 22 stations (just remember you need a license to speak 15-22). They have 38 CTCSS and 83 DCS privacy codes (that's the standard I think) and when I used them hiking/camping they worked great. We were about a mile apart and still had excellent signal (there were no buildings between us, just trees). I also had a Midland kit with me and I didn't notice any difference in sound quality and the range is no better than either…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
