I was itching to decorate the TV wall in our basement. I had no trouble removing the brace. I applied it by cutting out small bricks on the sides to weave the brick panels together. Simply cut with scissors. A few sheets weren't quite square and not aligned properly, but they stretched a bit and I was able to get them to work.
