WITHSTANDS BOILING WATER - Quality Mylar bags engineered to safely withstand boiling hot water. When ready to consume the contents, open, pour in boiling water, and cook or reconstitute dry goods, Harvest Right freeze dried, or dehydrated meals. PERFECT FOR BACKPACKING - Fill the MRE bags with lightweight dry foods like oatmeal and dried fruit, pasta, soup mix, quick cooking rice and spices, and add boiling water to cook when you reach your campsite. MAXIMUM PROTECTION - An added internal layer of aluminum provides superior durability and puncture resistance to keep air and moisture out and the food inside fresh. BPA-free, food-grade Mylar is heat sealable above the zipper to lock out air. NOTE: Bags may NOT shrink like a vacuum bag when the oxygen has been removed. Multifunctional ๐Ÿ‘ for food storage

They passed the home cook test with some oats and they seem really well made. Use them for camping as they are lightweight, waterproof and heat resistant.

4.5 stars. I love that they open to the long side

We use them for our own freeze dried products. They are great for single servings. They are much easier to eat than those that open on the short side. Lightning Wireless is very good. The only thing preventing me from giving a full 5 stars is that the bag is difficult to open. It was difficult to tear off the edge even with a notch.

These mylar bags are perfect for MRE or Disaster Meal Kits. If you have a dehydrator, you can prepare multiple meals for a lot less than a store-bought MRE. Why they're good: 1) They're made of very thick Mylar 2) They're resealable - you can open them, add water, close them and cook. (You can also cook the opened pack upright when the water level is low)3) They have an easy-open lid (there is a notch for easier opening4) They contain a desiccant (in 3 individually sealed packs of 10) 5) Theyโ€ฆ

- Made in China Professionals - Absorbers are packed in 3 separate vacuum bags - Absorbers are sized to match bag sizes - Thicker than many Mylar bags, much stronger - Lasts as long as They stuffing - Strong zips so they can be rezipped - Plenty of room over the zips for heat sealing - Pull outs Cons - Couldn't find anything I'm very impressed with this packaging. I love these new DIY MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) bags from Wallaby. I'm in my 30s and have been using their 1 gallon and 5 gallon bags for over a year. The Wallaby quality is the best I've found and it's great to see the same amazing quality on these new MRE bags!
