I love these new DIY MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) bags from Wallaby. I'm in my 30s and have been using their 1 gallon and 5 gallon bags for over a year. The Wallaby quality is the best I've found and it's great to see the same amazing quality on these new MRE bags! Here's what I like: • FOOD ON THE WAY: This is the perfect portion size for camping or long-term food storage. I like to cook 60 meals at a time and it's very easy to portion them out. I also keep muesli in it for hiking, as you can see in the video. • SAFETY IN BOILING WATER: MREs are great because you can cook dehydrated or freeze dried food right in the pouch and eat it in 2 minutes. Thanks to the wide opening of the bag, this is very easy to do. • SUPER THICK (7.5 MIL): You can't ask for more. The bags are durable and groceries won't get crushed in your backpack or anywhere else on the go. Inside is a layer of aluminum to protect your food from air, light and everything else. Impulse sealed dry goods last up to 30 years. • ODOR PROTECTION: The zipper is very strong and easy to close. I haven't smelled any of the bags I've sealed and I have a good sense of smell (sometimes too good!) • ACCESSORIES: Labels and oxygen scavengers are great additions. You get everything you need to start cooking without having to buy from anyone else.
