comes in a large brown bag. my product looks like used b4 (i don't mind because i bought the cage used i will just bleach it.) but the bag with the pebbles was a little torn so i removed the pebbles and the pot lid is broken. They were a bit uneven when assembled, and bags of debris and dust were strewn all over the box. My gerbils love it, although my large gerbil has been chewing on it for weeks and my two little gerbils are now using it as a bed/dust bag/tray that I have to clean every night. I would recommend this, just use either kitty litter or your own chinchilla sand.
