I bought a small both times. I literally reordered the same jacket. The new one has a higher waist and much thinner fur. It also went up in price but down in quality. I loved the original and it’s lasted me quite a while and it’s thick and warm. The new one is much thinner and probably more for style than warmth. But even if you purchase for style it is WAY too wrinkled out of the package. And I’m afraid to steam it which might damage the fur.

It doesn't look like what's pictured but I do like it. The fur along the front doesn't lap over liked pictured it looks more like a normal fur lined coat, a little disappointing and it is sewn in so removing it will be a challenge. It does fit me a little snug I normally wear 2X I ordered a 3X so you will definitely need to go up 2 full sizes. And it is heavy will keep you warm if you get the right size. The jacket is light weight. Not a bubble jacket weight. More like a summer raincoat. I ordered beige. The fur was a lighter color than the photo almost white. The length and fit was true to size.
