Exactly what I needed. I have a real problem.

Exactly what I needed. I have a real problem with Bishops Weed mixed with some "gift" plants from a friend. I don't know if covering the area will eventually kill it, but it will probably slow it down. Eerie weed - something almost from outer space.

It is good material for art supplies and tools

It is durable. This is the shape of a garden. It can withstand gardening for up to a year without breaking into small pieces or scattering around the garden. I used to be able to buy it locally and couldn't find it. It's a shame about thin, narrow items in the hardware store. Makes the garden less labor intensive. I collect rather than weed.

  • Elegant design

Great for the garden

I used this to cover my garden over the winter. The ground doesn't freeze here so I had serious weed problems and couldn't loosen efficiently because the ground was always wet and the weeds kept taking root. This material is really handy, I just unfolded it in the garden and spread the bricks in the corners to solarize the weeds.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some problems

Great for the garden

I read the reviews about the red plastic mulch and realized it wasn't durable enough for my garden. I found this heavier plastic and used it to mulch the garden under melon, watermelon and squash plants. I cut small holes for the plants and ran an irrigation line under the plastic. I only have a few weeks until harvest and the plants are full of fruit and there are no weeds in the garden! Update 05-2015: Used in the garden for a few years and I have reused it and it has held up very well.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

A great way to avoid weeds in the garden

I started using black plastic as a mulch (ground cover) a few years ago, cautiously at first, and now I'm not thinking of growing vegetables without it use . Using black plastic as a mulch has several important benefits: first, it keeps the soil a few degrees warm (and warms it up earlier in the spring), and second, it helps retain moisture. But most importantly, it almost completely eliminates weeding. Hooray! All you really have to do is cover your bed (I grow in raised beds) with thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
