This is great! My kids have gone from puddle jumpers (very restrictive) to life jackets (much less restrictive than puddle jumpers) to these (not restrictive at all). This will keep them upright, but they still need to work and practice walking on the water. They can practice their strokes with full arm movement and stay afloat while swimming. The weight limit is 50 pounds. My medium sized 7 year old boy (about 52 pounds) can still carry it and stay afloat. The band is easy to put on so far and
