I have a new iPad 9.7. All buttons work as they should and the device fits well. I see some people said there were three buttons on the side. There are actually two buttons and a speaker hole. All in all a great protection for my iPad on the boat.

tl;dr: For the price this case is good but don't think it's waterproof on the occasional spill . You may receive a defective case and need to exchange it. I bought two of these cases (black and teal) for two different iPads. There were no problems with black, it works well. However, Turquoise pressed the iPad's buttons and kept increasing the iPad's volume. It was a clear defect in the case, so I sent it back with no problems and opted for a replacement (after all, the other case works fine)…

Pro: Outstanding protection! I have an autistic child who throws away their iPad when they get upset, severely damaging the case and even injuring themselves. But after almost a year of such treatment, the inside of the iPad was spotless! Cons: Super heavy, for kids and even adults the weight is crazy. Whenever my son threw it, it was like a battle weapon. No stand. The kids had to find other ways to support the iPad.

Can be used on iPad 2018 but not designed for it, can't charge the iPad while using the case and can't turn up the volume from the bottom. doesn't work at all, sometimes the on/off button works. There is also a gap between the screen and its protective film. I decided to upgrade the stars to one because the protective film made it worse to use.

I haven't checked if it's waterproof and I hope I don't have to. Bought this for use on a boat and have no plans to dive into a $500 computer. Easy installation. The buttons work. Apple charging cable fits. The strap is a little strange. It goes through holes on the bottom left and top right, not both holes on top or both on the side. Not so hot what's up. I just wanted a lanyard so I don't know if it's really waterproof.

I bought this bag hoping for a thin waterproof bag that wasn't too bulky and baby bags felt like plastic and rubber. I'm pleasantly surprised. Pleasant to the touch, quite thin and comfortable in the hand. The case is smooth and not slippery like plastic and in my case feels comfortable in the hand.
