FIVE STAGE FILTER KIT CONTENTS: One - 5 Micron Sediment Pre-Filter (104017), Two - 5 Micron Carbon Pre-Filters (101009) made of high quality activated carbon, and One - 10 inch Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Final Filter (560010) with Fittings, and One - Housing Wrench (164002). RO FILTER PERFORMANCE: The Sediment Pre-Filter reduces dirt, silt and rust which affect the taste and appearance of your water. The Carbon Pre-Filter reduces chlorine taste and odors and also conditions the water before it is treated by the reverse osmosis membrane. The GAC Final Filter is used after the water storage tank to remove any remaining chlorine or other chemicals that cause bad taste or odor before being dispensed. FILTER MAINTENANCE: It is recommended to change out both the Sediment and Carbon Pre-filters every 6 months, and your GAC Final Filter should be replaced anually. With proper maintainance, your system will provide you with high quality water for years to come.
