Good for the specs! for fish and aquatic animals

Ideal for Fluval spec 3 2.8 gallons if you remove the suction cup. The transformer is also not bulky. The only drawback is that there is no switch. So you can invest in a good timer so you don't have to unplug it all the time.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Bracket already broken, suitable for aquarium lighting

Bright light for this size. In a few days. noticed that the arm was broken. I have to find a replacement. But I think I can delay returning to see how the light works. For example if I want to replace or just return? Not sure if this is a coincidence? At the moment I use it with tape. lol i will update when i decide.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Requires socket

Very bright - clip system sucks

Very good very bright light for retreat - clips don't hold very well could be 1000% improved where the screws hold the hinges together. Also, the main clamp needs to be wider to hold the tank in place - I had to break the clamps at the front to get them through the rim.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very good for a while

Very good for a while. Looks good and has decent performance. Unfortunately the LEDs burned out after 2 years and 4 months. Not bad I think, but the LED bulb should have a much longer lifespan. It was on the surge protection band the whole time and the problem isn't the transformer, I connected it to the power supply to check. It wasn't anywhere near water and had minimal impact, it just burned out.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Not sure

Great light for aquarium plants!

I needed to update the light for my 3 gallon Marineland contour (added water lettuce, I was worried the crypts and anubias in the tank weren't getting enough light) and it met all the requirements perfectly. The clip is firmly attached to the plastic wall of the tank and fits snugly into the slot in the plastic lid. I found the set screws to be quite strong, but I would take extra care not to strip the threads. The lantern doesn't have a switch, but I use a plug with a timer so it doesn't…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly dented

good enough that I bought it again.

Lasts 2 years before fading. I think 60% less than new. Now I have to admit that in two years I've knocked it over about 10 times in my saltwater pool. So it's about water. BUT the reason I bumped it into the tank is because the hand holding it is weak. He had two adjustable elbows that allowed him to adjust the angle of his glow. This elbow has small plastic grooves that keep it in place. So yeah, I touched the light, but not that hard, and the damn thing fell into the water. Multiple times. I

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great for my 6 gallon nano tank

Wave-point Micro Sun 6" 8 watt is a great lamp for my old 6 gallon Eclipse nano tank. I Would give it 5 stars but it doesn't have a switch for the light. The light clamp is a full 0.5" wide so it slides easily over the black plastic rim of the tank. 8 watts seems to be just enough for fish and plants. My parsing was a bit scary at first but they are getting used to it all over the world. :) My Aquarium: Old Eclipse 6 gallon hoodless Internal Tetra mesh filter (hope to switch to a sponge filter…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

Excellent light output, high quality finish giving me an amazing height heto

The sump for my reef tank is divided into three and I have heto algae in one section. I used an LED spotlight to illuminate the pair but I added this light. Wow the heto growth is amazing and I'm about to have to remove some of it for the first time in years. I'm sure it's waterproof too - I had a pump failure and the whole device ended up submerged, but no water got into the case at all and it looked brand new once the water level went down. The only downside is as others have mentioned. that…
